This Archive Request page is for posts by current Clan MacDougall Society members seeking information from Society records. 

  • Members who send email inquiries through this page will receive replies to their email address which is not visible to other visitors.
  • No information about any living person(s) will be revealed, nor will any document(s) be provided.

The Clan MacDougall Society has been working hard to make available some of our genealogy information to current members of our Society but we have a limited amount of data.  If you wish to inquire about this data:

  1. To identify yourself please provide:
  • Your Full Membership Name
  • Your Membership Number
  • Your Most Current Postal Address
  • Your Membership Email Address
  1. We are limiting to one inquiry per request for genealogy information.
  • Please provide oldest known Ancestor‘s name with any birth or death dates, spouse or children, and known locations you have for them. Include any other relevant information about them.
  • Please provide the name and known details about the ancestor you are inquiring about.
  1. We will search for that name and information in our records.
  • If we find your ancestor in our records we will advise you.
  • Our information will vary but, if on record, might include:
    • where they were from
    • their spouse
    • their birth or death dates
    • immediate family members
    • in a few cases, information about place of birth or immigration
  1. Once we have responded to you, we will have no other information to disclose about that person.
  • We hope we can assist our members researching their Clan MacDougall and Clan MacDowall ancestors by providing information from our records but we cannot do research.
